Different collections comprise posters, leaflets and other archival materials related to the history of socialist ideas. For example, there is an important collection from the Bund archive and library (http://filial.shpl.ru/kollektsii#12), and a collection of Russian student leaflets from the end of the 19th and early 20th century (http://filial.shpl.ru/kollektsii#14), among others.

History:
The Center of Socio-Political History was established in 2014 as the branch of GPIB on the basis of the reorganized State Socio-Political Library (GOPB).
The State Socio-Political Library (GOPB, Gosudarstvennaia obshchestvenno-politicheskaia biblioteka) was founded by the decision of the Russian Government in July 1992 on the basis of the library of the former Institute of Marxism-Leninism at the CC CPSU (IML pri TsK KPSS), which was formerly associated in 1991 with the Russian Center for Preservation and Study of Records of Modern History (RTsKhIDNI, after 1999—Russian State Archive of Socio-Political History, RGASPI, B-12).

Working conditions:
The Reading Room of Special Collections works 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month.
