Access
Since 1982 the exhibition wing of the Military Medical Museum has been undergoing major renovation, but researchers can be accommodated and socio-legal and medical inquiries are being processed for veterans or members of the armed forces.
        Permission to work with the archival materials must be obtained from the museum chief by a written request from a sponsoring organization, or a personal letter of application from private individuals, stating the theme and purpose of the intended research. Foreign researchers must obtain a letter from their sponsoring Russian organization.
        Permission to consult specific documents and files in the Archive of Military Medical Records and in the Scientific Research Division of Fonds must be obtained from the museum chief or his deputy for scientific research work. Personal medical records of living individuals are legally subject to privacy considerations for 75 years after their creation.
        All staff services to outside researchers are provided on a fee basis.

Copy facilities
Photographic and xerox copies can be prepared for materials in all divisions.
