Several facsimile editions of this work have appeared.

The dissertation discusses the work of the Manuscript Division, which before the formation of the Central State Literary Archive—TsGLA (now RGALI—B-7) in 1941, was the leading archive in the country for documentary materials on the history of Russian art and culture.
