The Manuscript Fond of the museum contains the personal papers of various film directors, film stars, cameramen, animators, and others who have worked in the film industry. The largest collections of personal papers are the fonds of two directors, A.I. Medvedkov and G.F. Shpalikov, and include materials relating to their creative work, biographical documents, and their vast correspondence with friends, relatives, and official institutions.
The fond also holds documents originating from public and state organizations connected with the film industry. For example, there is a part of the archive of the Central Studio for Documentary Films (TsSDF) that relates to the work of cameramen in frontline action during World War II.
The museum retains manuscript scenarios for a number of films.
