Biography
Baumgärtel, Emil; born in Wernersreuth, Bohemia 1885, died in Vienna 1939; Austrian trade unionist, social democratic politician; deputy chairman of the Arbeiter- und Soldatenrat für Oberösterreich after the First World War; secretary of the Bund der Industrieangestellten in Linz; member of the Landwirtschaftsrat; member of the Landtag 1919-1925; member of the Austrian Nationalrat 1920-1934; worked for both the Arbeiterkammer and the supervisory board of the Landeshypothekenanstalt.
