Biography

Born in Yozgat, Turkey 1927; writer and educator; graduated from the Köy Enstitüsü (Village Institute) at Pazarören 1944; studies literature at the Ankara Gazi Eğitim Enstitüsü 1950; teacher at secondary schools 1950-1958; founded the publishing house Hür Yayinevi (Free Publishing House) in 1958; member of the Turkish national assembly for the Türkiye Işçi Partisi (TIP, Turkish Labour Party) 1965-1969.
