Various groups of Chilean refugees, of whom many in Paris, tried to mobilize public opinion against the repression in their homeland during the regime of general Augusto U. Pinochet; their activities included the publishing of information bulletins and reports on the situation in Chile; they had also contacts with the illegal student movement in Chile.

Grez-Toso consisting of bulletins and stencilled reports issued by the Centre d'études politiques sur le Chili, the Comité international contre la répression au Chili, the Organización de Resistencia Comunista y la Renovación, Movimiento de Acción Popular Unitaria, Grupos de Base por la Renovación and other Chilean organizations in exile, mainly in Paris and Venezuela; illegal bulletins of the student movement in Chile, including Liberación!, El Pasquin and Kritica; reports issued by the Comité International 'Justice pour Massimo Carlotto' concerning the trial against Massimo Carlotto, member of the Italian group La Lotta Continua and accused of murder 1979-1987.
