History

Originated from a merger of the Parti Communiste Internationaliste (PCI; groupe Frank, Lequenne) and the Jeunesse Communiste Révolutionnaire (JCR), which were prohibited in 1968, the Ligue Communiste Révolutionnaire (LCR) then became the French section of the Fourth International (Section Française de la Quatrième Internationale); the LCR had its official founding congress in 1969.
