Biography

Marx's eldest daughter Jenny (1844-1883) was married to Charles Longuet (1833-1903); Longuet took part in the Paris Commune in 1871 and was editor of the Journal Officiel de la République Française; their son Jean (1876-1938) was a leading member of the Section Française de l'Internationale Ouvrière (SFIO).
