Biography or History

Independent syndicalist Swedish trade union federation; one of the founding organizations of the anarcho-syndicalist International Working Men's Association (IWMA), which was established in Berlin in 1922; the SAC left the IWMA in 1956 considering it too dogmatic.

Photocopies of correspondence by the SAC preliminary to the founding of the IWMA with syndicalist organizations, including the Freie Arbeiter-Union Deutschlands (FAUD), the Federación Obrera Regiónal Argentina (FORA), the Nationaal Arbeids Secretariaat, the Unione Sindicale Italiana (USI) and others 1918-1922; correspondence with the IWMA and affiliated organizations, including the Confederación Nacional del Trabajo (CNT) 1923-1939.
