Biography
Born in Chernovtsy, Bukovina, Austria-Hungary 1912, died in Paris 1974; socialist journalist; lived in the Soviet Union during the Second World War; after his return to Rumania he became international secretary of the Social Democratic Party of Rumania and editor of its organ Libertatea; resisted the forced merger of the social democrats with the communists in 1947; emigrated to Paris in 1948, where he became active in the Social Democratic Party of Rumania in exile.
