History

On the question of continuation or end of the League of Nations administration of the Saarland (and subsequent association with Germany) a plebscite was held in January 1935; during the plebiscite D. Mackay, mayor of Enkhuizen in the Netherlands, was chairman of polling station No. 66 in Saarbrücken.
