Biography
Born in Larnaka, Cyprus 1937, disappeared in 1983; studied sociology at the university of Istanbul; leftwing political activist; friend of Hikmet Kivilcimli; when Kivilcimli had to flee from Turkey because of the repression by the military in 1971 Fegan took care of his papers; brought them to Sweden when he had to flee Turkey himself; started the arrangement and prepared a bibliography of the writings of K v lc ml .

Fegan
was born in 1937 in Larnaka, Cyprus. He studied sociology at
the
University of İstanbul
. He was a leftwing political
activist and a close friend of Dr.
Hikmet Kıvılcımlı
. When
Kıvılcımlı had to leave Turkey because of the repression by the military in
1971
Fuat Fegan
took care of his papers.
He brought
them to Sweden when he had to leave the country himself. He started the
arrangement and prepared a bibliography of the writings of Kıvılcımlı.
The
papers of Fuat Fegan have been given to the
IISG
by
Latife Fegan
in 1996. His papers contain writings and
notes by Fuat Fegan, documents relating to the (second)
Vatan
Partisi
and documents on other organisations.
