History

Union of workers of the FIAT Concord factory in Ferreyra, near Córdoba in Argentina; initially a small factory organization under tutelage of the employers; after the elections of a Comisión Directiva and new delegates in 1970, enforced by actions of the workers, SiTraC started protecting the interests of its members; together with two other local factory unions, the Sindicato de Trabajadores de Materfer (SiTraM) and Sindicato de Mecánicos y Afines (SMATA), it initiated a massive and active workers movement in Córdoba; dissolved by the goverment in 1971; active underground until 1972 when the SiTraC merged with the SMATA. Photocopies of microfiche on the history have been added as annex to this list; the documents have been copied on microfiches and have been arranged into 20 'subarchivos'; for security reasons each microfiche was given a separate number; the headings of the microfiches have been taken over in Spanish in this list.
