Subcollections

Botany

A subcollection of particular interest thanks to gifts by C.A.J.A. Oudemans in the second half of the nineteenth century. The subcollection contains many regional flora of the Netherlands, Belgium and Indonesia. Of almost all countries in the world a flora is available (U 53-126). The following overview contains the most important of these.

The collection part 'botanical gardens and musea' (U 127-156) contains a number of descriptions of leading organisations in the field. The collection parts 'monographs of plants' (U 198-244) and 'applied botany' (U 243-283) contain an number of important works on plant (species) and about the horticulturist enterprise.
