Willem, Honourable landlords and house-agents, ca. 1968

The squatters’ movement emerged during the Provo period. People would move into empty homes and make them habitable as part of the ‘save a house, occupy a house’ campaign. The artist Willem is now one of the most famous cartoonists in France.
