Deng Xiaoping did not want to be glorified. Sometimes, however, posters were made to show the legitimacy of his reign by showing him in imaginary meetings with the great leaders of the past. Here are, from left to right, Chen Yun (at that moment the vice chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party), Liu Shaoqi (see commentary to nr. 22), Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Deng Xiaoping and Zhu De, one of the legendary generals of the Red Army.
