First Five Year Plan (1953-1957)


In the following illustrations, more specific specific guidelines are given to increase agricultural production: improvement of water management and irrigation in the fields and a greater use of new farming machinery and equipment (below left); and increased fertilization and a better selection of seeds and plants.
