Zhang Anpu 张安朴


Zhang Anpu (1947) is from Jiading, Shanghai. In the 1960s, he took several art classes, to become an art cadre in the Jiading cultural centre in 1972. He transferred to the Jiefang ribao [解放日报,Liberation Daily, a Shanghai newspaper] in 1975. In 1985, he graduated from the Shanghai News Cadre Training School. He is currently art editor for the Liberation Daily.

Zhang is specialized in propaganda art. The original art work for the poster on the left received first prize at the First National Propaganda Art Exhibition in 1983.
