Repression, Deportation and Forced Migration in the Caucasus 1920-1950

Conference Tehran, 2003, May 25-26

The third conference on 'Repression, Deportation and Forced Migration in the Caucasus 1920 -1950' was held in Tehran on May of, 25 - 26 of 2003. The first conference in this series was held in Baku in 2001 and the second conference in Tbilisi in 2002.

The Tehran conference was convened jointly by the Center for Documents and Research Services of the Iran Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Institute of Social History. Following the welcoming addresses by Dr. Reza Nazarahari the Director of Center for Documents and Research Services and Prof. Touraj Atabaki of the Department of the Middle East and Central Asia of the International Institute of Social History, the two days conference continued its work according to the following programme:
