On 25 November the IISH celebrates its 75th Anniversary. One of the activities will be the launch of the first Masterclass on Global Labour History.

The masterclass aims at providing an intensive course on global labour history, combining theoretical literature and primary sources available at the Institute. On the last day results will be presented to a wider audience. Apart from the classes during the day, students will be able to work individually and in teams at the Institute which for this purpose will be open until 10 pm (22:00). Common lunches (12:00) and dinners (18:00) will be provided.

The masterclass is meant for PhD students from different countries and different parts of the world. For a limited number of participants travelcosts and accommodation will be provided. All meals and IISH research facilities are included

Sunday 21 November

Monday 22 November

Tuesday 23 November
09:00-17:00    Marcel van der Linden - Collective action worldwide (abstract)

Wednesday 24 November
09:00-17:00    Erik Jan Zurcher - Military Work (abstract)

Thursday 25 November
09:00-12:00    Karin Hofmeester, Kees Mandemakers, Jan Kok - Digital sources and data bases (abstract)
13:00-22:00    Preparations for presentations on Friday

Friday 26 November
09:00-12:00    Presentations of results for a wider audience by teams of participants
13:00-17:00    Choice of different activities as participation to a conference, a guided tour through historic Amsterdam etc.
