Titia van der Werf-Davelaar
Profile
Before moving to the IISH Titia was head of the library of the African Studies Centre in Leiden. She has policy, research and service development experience, mostly in the area of networked information and digital preservation. She has contributed to the development of standards such as the Dublin Core Metadata Element Set and the Open Archival Information System. She worked for PICA (Centre for Library Automation in the Netherlands) and later for the R&D department of the Koninklijke Bibliotheek (National Library of the Netherlands). Titia studied history at the University of Groningen.
At the IISH, she is deputy director for collections, services and preservation.
EU 7th Framework evaluator (2007) and reviewer of current EU-digital preservation projects.
