Anti-Semitism in England

Chayenu, organ of Jewish Religious Labour, February 1948

ZO 30410

In its February 1948 issue, Chayenu, the magazine of the British socialist Zionists, warns about the increase in anti-Semitism in England after the war. Anti-Semites have gained a base among the public. The news media relentlessly cover the deeds of terror committed by Jews against Arabs in Palestine and stresses Jewish surnames in their news items on the black market and the like. The pre-war fascist Sir Oswald Mosley is free once again to do his work. Organization is the only remedy that can help. 'We must never again lose sight of the fact that IT CAN HAPPEN HERE.'
