Maoists in Three Languages

Switzerland has four official national languages. The tiny Maoist Communist Organization of Switzerland, serves its few hundred members in three of the four languages. Octobre/Oktober/Ottobre is mainly French, only the main article is translated in German and Italian. In the October 1969 issue (fifth volume) this piece is devoted to the national housing shortage. The praises directed towards the Chinese Peoples' Republic and Albania elsewhere in this paper are not in German or Italian, nor is the quote by Ho, who considers the American defeat in Vietnam as imminent.
