Social-demokraten is the newspaper of Det Norske Arbeiderparti (DNA), founded in 1887. In 1921 the DNA joins the Communist International. This contested decision leads to the split away of a more moderate faction, the Norges Sosialdemokratiske Arbeiderparti. The two parties converge once again after the DNA has turned her back on the Comintern in 1923. This issue of Social-demokraten is still under communist auspices and reports elaborately about the miners strike in Wales which involved 17.000 workers.
