Internal circular with guide-lines to oppose the military dictatorship: Muwajihat cajila li-l-camal al-qiyadi. 30 June 1989.
Communist Party Sudan (CPS), inv nr 202
Sudan underwent three coups after the Second World War. The military coup of June 30 1989, led by Umar al-Bashir, takes an Islamic turn. The Communist Party of Sudan (Al-Hizb al-Shuyuci al-Sudani), which was founded in 1946, is banned, together with the other political parties. The CPS loses its three seats in parliament. Immediately after the military takeover, the CPS issues this internal circular with guidelines for opposing the military dictatorship.
